“We have just had an amazing time meeting up family from Braemar and stayed at the lovely Wardlaw House. From very busy lives commuting in and out of London this was heaven, so peaceful and private with boundless luxury. Attention to detail tells us that the proprietor is fastidious and the place was immaculately clean. Nothing was too much trouble and arriving late to find the most fantastic welcome pack really was a great start to our wonderful stay. We look forward to returning in the autumn to meet up with our fishing friends.“
“When we drove up the driveway to Wardlaw House we couldn’t believe our eyes, in that this was where we were spending our long weekend. Although we had plans in place to visit Fort George and Culloden we could hardly pull ourselves away from Wardlaw House. What a haven for wildlife literally on the doorstep, the playful red squirrels on the front lawn were a delight; the daily visit from the woodpecker and the Red Kite that swooped around nearly every afternoon. The comfort and luxury that your place has to offer is well worthy of its five star accolade and I felt like the Queen in the room with the four poster bed. The welcome pack surpasses anything that we have ever received in previous self-catering accommodation and we have been doing this for over twenty five years. Without question we will be back and hopefully it will be later in the year health permitting.“

“Had superb week at Wardlaw House. The property has been tastefully modernised by the delightful owners Lorraine and Brian whose fastidious attention to detail made for a very pleasant stay. The welcoming pack was greatly appreciated. The House is particularly well situated for exploring the Highlands”.
“We recently stayed at the beautiful Wardlaw house for a 3 night break and we couldn’t recommend it enough. It was a great base for our family to explore the surrounding area. The house itself was exceptionally clean and well presented, and we were provided with a lovely welcome basket on arrival. The hosts, Lorraine and Brian were very helpful and were on hand to help with any extra requests we had. They really went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. We will certainly be visiting again in the future with our family. Our children have already been asking when we can go back!”
“Wardlaw House is a unique place and ideal for a quiet base to explore Inverness and surrounding area. The house is comfortable and quiet, a place to slow down and enjoy. Our three primary age kids liked Nairn Beach, Cawdor Castle, Crazy golf, Inverness Park, hill-walking and canoeing on Loch Ness. There is lots more to explore, so we will need to come back soon!”
“Well where I start? Having travelled much in this world I thought I had seen it all until arriving at WARDLAW HOUSE. This is quite simply stunning. The care and attention to every detail in the property is by any standard exceptional. From extremely spacious accommodation to the smaller touches.
A four poster to die for, comfort is not in question here. The refurbed roll top bath is an experience not to be missed with an abundance of hot water for the whole family to bath and shower. The welcome pack was also the best we have ever been supplied. Oh the owners also took receipt of our online grocery order. The gardens are to be enjoyed all the time watching the squirrels play along with visits of deer and pheasants. Almost too good to be true. It was a real bonus to be offered the use of a telescope to view the sky at night and identify the stars, and understand which were which with a booklet provided. Regarding the owners, their experience in hospitality and as an ex tourist guide made us feel that our stay was very tailored. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough my stay was four nights and I shall be returning in September with my family for a longer stay. Excellent value for money, somethings you just can’t put a price on.“
